I love the black and white look and that it's not centered. An improvement perhaps would be to take out some of the background so that you are more in the picture because I'm there to see who you are and not the landscape. :)
I really like this photo because there is a clear view of your face and you are not located in the center, but to the right. The focus is clearly on you, but the background still contributes to the photo without overwhelming it.
The black and white idea is very nice, it adds contrast to your blog but also makes it look neat, polished, and artistic. The focus is very clear and I like how you are off center a bit.
