You know what's the best?

But let me let you know...I'm not obsessed.

I've gotta say, I usually find it really hard to pick favorites in anything, because there's just so much out there, and I'm sort of fickle about even small decisions, so for something as monumental as my favorite movie, music, book, or media in general...it's really hard to decide.

But film...Wes Anderson, man. There is just -something- about his films...maybe it's the perfect combination of sights and sounds, the meticulous attention to set and script detail, something about the way everything comes together to make that, feeling ("The whole is greater than the sum of its parts" -Frank Lloyd Wright).

Along with Harold & Maude

(directed by Hal Ashby respectively), The Royal Tenenbaums has -gotta- be one of my favorite films. I won't blather on about it but let me just tell you that while I know some won't like it, will think it's boring or pretentious or too smoky, it is such an, encapsulation, of a family, but done in such a way as to be poignant, dramatic, funny, and yet not boring or boilerplate. It's a complete ball!

P.s. A trailer that hopefully won't reveal too much although I won't know because I don't feel like watching it:

P.p.s. This might not seem to personal cause it's not strictly about -me- but....too bad ;)
